

The County must notify the applicant in writing, if the case is approved or denied, no later than 30 calendar days from the date the County receives the CalFresh application. Households already receiving the maximum allotment for their household size did not receive an additional supplement. Beginning with the benefit month of April 2021 onward, all CalFresh households will receive at least $95 in emergency allotments regardless if a household is already receiving the maximum allowable for their household size. For the benefit months of March 2020 - March 2021 the emergency allotment raised each household’s regular monthly CalFresh benefit to the maximum allowable allotment based on their eligible household size.Until further notice, California is providing emergency CalFresh supplement allotments to eligible households beginning in March 2020.
